Stenhammar Quartet
Formed in 2002, the Stenhammar Quartet has established itself as one of Scandinavia’s leading string quartets. A wide-ranging repertoire spans from the Classical period to contemporary works, while naturally affording the quartets of Wilhelm Stenhammar and other Swedish composers their allotted space. The Quartet regularly commissions works from Nordic composers, and has collaborated with figures such as Anders Hillborg, Sven-David Sandström, Kaija Saariaho and Bent Sørensen. In 2009 the ensemble was commended by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music for its contributions to Swedish music.
The Stenhammar Quartet has to date made some forty recordings for Swedish Radio, participated in broadcasts on Swedish television and been the subject of a documentary on the French music channel Mezzo. Its several recordings for record labels such as BIS, CPO och Alba have met with critical acclaim from reviewers both in Sweden and internationally, earning the Quartet two nominations for the Swedish “Grammis” Awards. 2024 saw the release of the first disc of two with quartets by the Finnish composer Kalevi Aho.
Touring extensively, the Stenhammar Quartet has performed across Europe, as well as Japan, Algeria and India, appearing at prestigious venues such as Beethoven-Haus Bonn and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Plans for the next couple of years include visits to Canada and Japan. www.stenhammarquartet.com
Lefki Karpodini
Lefki Karpodini is considered one of the leading female pianists of her generation in Greece. She has performed in most European countries, Israel, Canada, America and the Barbados islands. Highlights of her festival appearances are Mecklenburg Vorpommern Festival, Kalamata International Music Days, Banff Festival, Cully Classique, Heraklion Piano Festival, Pharos Trust, Aegina and others. She has collaborated with the Ensemble Modern, the Pan European Orchestra, the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and the Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra and has collaborated with renowned musicians in Greece and abroad, receiving excellent reviews from the press and the public. She has recorded for BBC3, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Hellenic Radio, the Deutscher Musikrat and Irida Music. She has collaborated with Greek and foreign composers and premiered works in Greece and abroad. In recent years, she has also been involved in composing mainly piano works for pedagogic purposes..
She graduated from the Athens Conservatory and continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London (Bmus, Mmus, PGDip, PACC) and the Ensemble Modern IEMA Academy in Frankfurt. Scholarship holder of the Hellenic Republic Scholarships, among others. She has received First Prize at the ¨Filon¨ music competition and at the Schubert Competition (GSMD, London) and the „Sir Henry Richardson Award“ in London. She has given masterclasses and has been invited to teach in piano courses in France, Greece and the U.K. She is piano professor at the Moraitis Music School and the Athenaeum Conservatory.

Stenhammar Quartet
Ιδρυμένο το 2002, το Κουαρτέτο Stenhammar έχει καθιερωθεί ως ένα από τα κορυφαία κουαρτέτα εγχόρδων της Σκανδιναβίας. Ένα ευρύ ρεπερτόριο που εκτείνεται από την κλασική περίοδο έως σύγχρονα έργα, παρέχοντας φυσικά τον χώρο που τους αναλογεί στα κουαρτέτα του Wilhelm Stenhammar και άλλων Σουηδών συνθετών. Το Κουαρτέτο αναθέτει τακτικά έργα από σκανδιναβούς συνθέτες και έχει συνεργαστεί με προσωπικότητες όπως οι Anders Hillborg, Sven-David Sandström, Kaija Saariaho και Bent Sørensen. Το 2009 το σύνολο επαινέθηκε από τη Βασιλική Σουηδική Ακαδημία Μουσικής για τη συμβολή του στη σουηδική μουσική.
Το Κουαρτέτο Stenhammar έχει μέχρι σήμερα κάνει περίπου σαράντα ηχογραφήσεις για το Σουηδικό Ραδιόφωνο, έχει συμμετάσχει σε εκπομπές στη σουηδική τηλεόραση και έχει αποτελέσει θέμα ντοκιμαντέρ για το γαλλικό μουσικό κανάλι Mezzo. Πολλές ηχογραφήσεις του για δισκογραφικές εταιρείες όπως οι BIS, CPO και Alba έχουν λάβει εγκωμιαστικές κριτικές τόσο στη Σουηδία όσο και διεθνώς, χαρίζοντας στο Κουαρτέτο δύο υποψηφιότητες για τα σουηδικά βραβεία “Grammis”. Το 2024 κυκλοφορήσε ο πρώτος από δύο δίσκους με κουαρτέτα του Φινλανδού συνθέτη Kalevi Aho.
Το Κουαρτέτο Stenhammar έχει κάνει περιοδεύσει σε πολλές χώρες κι εμφανιστεί σε όλη την Ευρώπη, καθώς και στην Ιαπωνία, την Αλγερία και την Ινδία, σε διάσημους συναυλιακούς χώρους όπως το Beethoven-Haus Bonn και το Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Λευκή Καρποδίνη
Η Λευκή Καρποδίνη έχει εμφανιστεί στις περισσότερες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες, στο Ισραήλ, στον Καναδά, στην Αμερική και στα νησιά Μπαρμπέιντος. Σημαντικές εμφανίσεις της σε φεστιβάλ είναι το Φεστιβάλ MeckPom, το Banff Festival, το Cully Classique, το Φεστιβάλ Πιάνου Ηρακλείου, το Pharos Trust, το φεστιβάλ Αίγινας και άλλα. Έχει συνεργαστεί μεταξύ άλλων με το Ensemble Modern, την Pan European Orchestra, την Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Guildhall και του Δήμου Αθηναίων καθώς και με καταξιωμένους μουσικούς στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, λαμβάνοντας εξαιρετικές κριτικές από τον τύπο και το κοινό. Έχει ηχογραφήσει για το BBC3, την Philharmonia Orchestra, την Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία, την Deutscher Musikrat και την Irida Music. Έχει συνεργαστεί με Έλληνες και ξένους συνθέτες και έχει κάνει πρεμιέρες έργων στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Τα τελευταία χρόνια, ασχολείται επίσης με τη σύνθεση κυρίως παιδαγωγικών πιανιστικών έργων.
Αριστούχος διπλωματούχος του Ωδείο Αθηνών. Ως υπότροφος του ΙΚΥ τις μουσικές της σπουδές συνέχισε στο Guildhall School of Music and Drama του Λονδίνου (Bmus, Mmus, PGDip, PACC) και στην Ακαδημία Ensemble Modern IEMA στη Φρανκφούρτη. Με υποτροφία από το Belgais Centre της Πορτογαλίας πήρε μαθήματα από την διάσημη Maria Joao Pires. Έχει λάβει το Πρώτο Βραβείο στον μουσικό διαγωνισμό ¨Φίλων¨ και στον Διαγωνισμό Σούμπερτ (GSMD, Λονδίνο) και το «Sir Henry Richardson Award» στο Λονδίνο. Έχει δώσει σεμινάρια πιάνου στη Γαλλία, την Ελλάδα και το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Διδάσκει πιάνο στη Μουσική Σχολή της Σχολής Μωραΐτη και στο Ωδείο Athenaeum. www.lefkikarpodini.com
